I've tried to put my own spin on the lore of the Ghost universe by mixing the ghouls and the Papas with my own original characters, and stitching it all together to create a huge multiverse.

Essence of Quinn is my main WIP right now. 600k words, 250+ chapters; the glue that binds all my worlds together (it's also the longest and most commented on fic on Ao3 under the Ghost Sweden Band tag).

It's All Hallows Eve and the veil between worlds is thin. Will Mist finally get to say goodbye to her lost love? Or will her heart get broken all over again? Anything can happen on Halloween 👻

I probably put way too much thought into it but I do enjoy making a more in depth story rather than winging it. I like to actually think about the worldbuilding, make sure things actually connect and make sense. I am a big history nerd and I feel like it's the closest I can get to writing my own history.

Calista was beautiful, smart, sassy, pure of heart. She took his breath away, and... she was pretty much the most off limits ghuleh that the Clergy had to offer.

She was Rain, Papa’s ghoul’s mother, for starters. Then there was the attachment she had to two of Secondo’s ghouls. Pretty much every other ghoul at the Abbey steered clear of her for that reason alone. Nobody crossed Secondo’s ghouls, especially his volatile quintessence.

“Anyone who makes a move on her has to have a complete death wish or some kind of a brain malfunction. Either that, or they're as dumb as a box of rocks,” Alpha mused out loud.

Omega snorted and shrugged.

“Alpha, buddy, you realise you just described yourself there, right?”

Alpha laughed and took a swig from the bottle of vodka he was holding.

Huh. Omega was right. Maybe it was the vodka talking, or maybe he really was as dumb as a box of rocks, but maybe, just maybe, she would be worth taking the chance on. Only time would tell, he supposed.

He took another mouthful of vodka for good measure.

“Okay, fuck it. I’ll do it.”
